
After experiencing declines in three out of the past four days, gold prices in Pakistan saw a substantial rise on Friday.
According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs. 1,800 per tola, reaching Rs. 276,200. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs. 1,543, bringing it to Rs. 236,797.
At the beginning of the week, the gold market experienced a decrease of Rs. 500 per tola, followed by a further drop of Rs. 600 per tola on Tuesday. Wednesday brought a brief recovery with an increase of Rs. 600 per tola, but this was offset by a decline of Rs. 1,100 per tola on Thursday.
Friday’s significant surge has pushed the price of gold close to the all-time high of Rs. 277,000 per tola, which was recorded last week.
In the international market, spot gold remained steady at $2,659.13 per ounce as of 10:19 GMT.
